MAC Haul

Hey ladies, I hope you’ve had a lovely Christmas, I’ve missed you all! I’ve had a lovely blogging break and I’m back with loads of new products and posts. Santa was very kind to me!

Just before I finished work I went to Selfridges on Oxford Street on my lunch break to get my MAC goodies. I also treated my Mum to a couple of Eyeshadows which she loves!

I bought my first 15 pan eyeshadow holder, when this is full I plan to take out the inserts in between which means instead of 15 eyeshadows you can get 26 in there. Makes sense doesn’t it!

I also bought eyeshadows Brule*, Vapour, Shale and Shadowy Lady*. I used these colours on Mum whilst she was here for Christmas and will post this Christmas FOTD in the next few days.
* = Bought for Mum too

Top Row Left to Right All That Glitters, Satin Taupe and Twinks
Middle Row Left to Right Naked Lunch and Knight Divine
Bottom Row Left to Right Brule, Vapour, Shale and Shadowy Lady

Above is my MAC palette so far, I'm so pleased with all of the shades and I think the matte shadows definately suit me more. Below is a picture of me on Christmas Day before we had dinner, please excuse my dry chapped lips! I used all 4 of my new MAC eyeshadows for my Make up below.

I hope you all have a fantastic night tonight if you are going out, Darren ♥ and I have both caught colds again so are staying in and resting up. To be honest I'm not a lover of going out on NYE anyway.

Back to work on 4th January, where did my 2 weeks off go?

Happy New Year my Beauts!

Small Primark Haul

Hey girls, isn’t the snow beautiful? I know it’s caused havoc with some and I will be a hater if my Mum ♥ doesn’t manage to get up for Christmas!

I popped into Primark yesterday, which is another thing I have a love/hate relationship with, but I was pleasently suprised at what I found! I think sticking to the smaller Primarks is key to shopping, I can’t handle Oxford Street any day of the week, it’s horrid! My local Primark was empty, there was the usual clothes all over the floor, a faint smell of B.O. and Maccy D’s is next door. But when there’s bargains like these in store it all makes it worth while.

This cute charm bracelet was only £2.50 but I love it! It has a gorgeous little locket on it for photos, but trying to find photos small enough of Darren ♥ and my Dad ♥ is another thing!

I’m not really one for slippers, I think because I hate my feet getting hot but this weather has got me wanting something warm on me tootsies so I bought these for £1.30!!! An absolute bargain! Primark had a few other designs but I’m a sucker for a bit of leopard print!

Do any of you have a love/hate relationship with Primark?

MUFE - Smoky Lash

Hey ladies, I’ve had this mascara for well over a month but have only just started using it this past week as I wanted to use up my current Max Factor, I’m terrible at starting a new product because I’m so excited to have it then letting the one I was using go all dry and basically just wasting money!

This is the Smoky Lash from Make Up For Ever, it is fast overtaking my Max Factor False Lash Effect as my favourite. It is quite honestly the blackest mascara, even my Sister ♥ picked up on how black it was.

I bought this from the Guru Makeup Emporium for £17.50 which isn’t cheap but it’s so worth the money, it’s right up there with my Dior Show mascara for the high end brands. This mascara adds volume and lengthens my lashes, which is exactly what I want from it. This also came with a cute bottle of Sensi Eyes, a sensitive eye make up remover.

I'm wearing UDPP as a base, MAC e/s All That Glitters and Twinks, MUFE Smoky Lash

Please excuse my eyebrows, they need threading badly!

I am truly loving this mascara at the minute and really don't want it to end! It might have to be a permanent fixture in HQ's make up bag!

Have any of you tried Smoky Lash? Do you love it too?

Christmas Tree Inspired FOTD - My sister

Hey girls, Faye ♥ modelled for me again for this look! These colours are the exact colours of my Christmas tree, I love the combination of red, gold and green! I added some cute diamantes to the outer and inner eye corners to act as the Christmas lights. I think it came out ok, I wanted to keep the lips quite neutral because the eyes were so dramatic. Faye ♥ wore this to the hospital to visit our Nan ♥ then to our Aunts ♥ for dinner after! One of the nurses at the hospital commented how lovely her eyes looked, my Nan ♥ said “I don’t want to criticise dear but you’ve done your eyelashes a bit thick”, bless her she didn’t realise Faye ♥ was wearing false lashes! Does that mean it was good application? lol

My beautiful bubba sister ♥

Not that she needs it, she's a dab hand at the make up marlarky. I have fond memories of watching her apply the war paint in the bathroom of our old house, I couldn't wait til I was old enough to put it on myself!

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this post, sorry it's picture heavy, I just wanted you to see the beautiful colours that I used. I'm very much in the Christmas mood now and had my first Mince Pie of the year today, it was goooood!

Does Christmas inspire any of you to whack out the make up and do something sparkly and fun?

Hot Pink Nails with Flowers and Diamantes

Hey girls, I had the day off yesterday, I painted my nails and added some cute stickers and diamantes. I’m very pleased with how they came out! I might get some more rhinestones and stickers, maybe do a Christmas N.O.T.D!

Click on the pics to enlarge

For this, I used Walton Street by Nails Inc and the cute flowers and diamantes are by Kiss and available in Boots and Superdrug for £2.79. Of course I topped this design off using the amazing Seche Vite! For those of you who don't know about Seche Vite you're really missing out! I read some reviews on it, bought a sample pot from Ebay for £4, I was so impressed with it. It dries in record time! I bought the full size from Ebay for about £8, it's well worth the money.

Do you like my nail design? I'm definately rocking these for Christmas Day!

Hello lovelies, I'm still alive!

Hello darlings! I just wanted to say a big hello to all my new followers and apologise for the lack of posts. I had my first ever flu bug and seriously thought I was dying! I was ill for about 6 days and spent most of my time in bed sleeping! Darren ♥ caught the bug off me on the 2nd day so we were both off work. My body ached from head to toe, hot and cold sweats, I couldn’t taste any food but didn’t really have an appetite, sort throat from coughing. I lost a couple of pounds and Darren ♥ lost 11 pound! I wouldn’t wish that bug on anyone it was horrible.

10 days after catching the dreaded flu we are still not back to full health, our chesty coughs are hanging in there! I managed to get to the gym on Friday night but it really took it out of me.

From now til Christmas my blog may have slightly less posts on it mainly due to the fact Christmas is upon us and I haven’t really been buying anything for myself to blog about. I’ve asked Santa for some gorgeous Estee Lauder Creams for Christmas so can’t wait to show you those.

Please bare with me from now til Christmas when normal posting should resume!

I will be choosing a winner for my giveaway tomorrow so look out for that!

Lots of Love

Sigma Brushes - FREE Worldwide Delivery Friday 26th November!!

Hey girlies, I received an email from Sigma today, they are offering FREE worldwide delivery for Friday 26th November (tomorrow). I've always wanted to try Sigma brushes but because of the delivery hadn't bothered. If this offer wasn't so close to Christmas I'd get the Eye Kit (below) its $45. I found a website that converts dollars to pounds and it worked out about £28, I think thats amazing for 7 brushes! Sigma offer a free travel size E25 brush with this kit too.  So you actually get 8 brushes. I think this is a bargain! I paid £25 for my MAC 190 brush!

Do any of you have the Sigma brushes in the photo above? How do they compare to MAC brushes?

Barry M Dazzle Dusts

Good evening ladies, I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend! Darren♥ and I done a spot of Christmas shopping, most of it at BHS where his Mum♥ works and gets 20% off! Whilst Darren♥ was in HMV I nipped into Boots to see if I could get my hands on this Barry M Dazzle Dust that I wanted and finally I found it! I was after No 89 – Oyster Grey it's a beautiful colour with purple undertones to it.

34
39
 89

I applied no 89 quickly to my left eye ontop of a bit of eyeliner as a base but in no means is this an FOTD! The purple undertones really came out on my skin. I will be doing a proper FOTD/N on my trusty model when she’s next available. Thanks Lil Sis♥

 No 89 Oyster Grey

Barry M products are 3 for the price of 2 at the minute so I got Dazzle Dusts 34, 39 and 89 for £9. My confidence is growing using all different colours of shadows etc but still not brave enough to step outside the flat like it! I suppose that will come in time too.

Do any of you have the same dusts as me? Aren't they gorgeous!

The good and the bad – Dry Shampoo

Afternoon girls, did you have a good weekend? I had a lovely few days. Saturday was spent with Sister and Mother in Law's to be Christmas shopping in Greenwich then Canary Wharf, we had a lovely time, even if I did spend more money on myself and Darren ♥ than others! lol. Sunday I spent with Darren ♥ on the sofa
and then a naughty chinese in the evening! Mmmmm! On with the review.

I may be one of the minorities here but I really don’t like Umberto Giannini Morning After Dry Shampoo, I bought it purely because Lollipop26 said it was brilliant and was an invisible spray compared to the Batiste Dry Shampoo, which can leave you looking like you have grey highlights!

Now, whilst I don’t like the skunk look, the Batiste works better for me, so good, in fact I had to buy a travel sized tin the day I used Umberto Giannini because by mid morning, it looked like I didn’t have anything on and had clearly not washed my hair! Not a good look!

Meet Colin the bubba skunk!!

Cue one travel sized tin of Batiste and I was a happy bunny again! Umberto Giannini Morning After Dry Shampoo will be used for back combing only at my place! It’s twice the price of the Batiste one too and the latter comes in more styles/fragrances. Boho is my fav if you're curious.

Have any of you girlies tried the Umberto Giannini Morning After Dry Shampoo? Are you a lover or a hater?

O.O.T.D – Winter or Summer/Day or Night

This is my first O.O.T.D, I was a little nervous about posting this mainly because I don’t know much about clothes, what style suits etc. I love watching programmes like Gok Wan and Trinny and Susannah for inspiration. This outfit however was my own creation lol!

I bought this gorgeous playsuit at the end of September from New Look, it was in their Limited Edition collection and was a bit pricey for New Look it was £35 and I just love it. It can be worn in the winter or summer. For the winter I am wearing it with my gorgeous Faith tan knee high boots that Darren ♥ bought for me for Christmas, a beige light cardigan, also from New Look and plain black tights. I also threw on my oversized ring from ASOS and a few gold bracelets. For summer I was thinking maybe wearing the playsuit with a tan shoulder bag that comes across the body some comfy flip flops or ballet pumps and maybe a nice big hat, oh and with some compulsory BIG shades. I had some beautiful Calvin Klein sunnies that I got from New York last December but they broke, I am so gutted! I loved them.

Nail Varnish is Barry M Pure Turquoise, ring is from ASOS

My lovely boots, I have these in black too
Image from New Look website

What do you ladies think of my playsuit? This isn’t something I would normally go for, I’m a bit boring with clothes really, I don’t have much style, but I love reading all your posts about outfits, it gives me some ideas.

Makeover Number 2 – My Sister Faye ♥

Afternoon my beauts! Faye let me have another go at doing a makeup look on her. I watched a Pixiwoo YT video a while ago called “Nicole Scherzinger inspired look” so had a go at doing that. I don’t own any bronzer (Hoola by Benefit will be mine!) so had to use the matte brown eyeshadow from my Storm Sleek palette. I'm a bit of a bronzer virgin to be honest, after I applied some to under Fayes cheekbones she looked like she needed a good ol' wash! lol But after some blush and highlight it looked alright.
Full list of products used below.

I applied the false lashes a bit wonky! One is sticking up more than the other

Face
Smashbox Primer
MAC Face and Body in C3
MAC Studio Finish Concealer
MAC Moisturecover in NC30
Benefit blusher – Coralista
Highlighter – models own (Fayes)
Matte brown e/s from Storm Sleek palette

Eyes
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Laura Mercier Metallic Crème e/s in Burnished Copper
Laura Mercier Metallic Crème e/s in Platinum
Laura Mercier Loose Powder in Chocolate Garnet
Lychee e/s from Sleek Good Girl Palette for highlight
2 matte brown colours from Sleek Storm palette
Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara
MAC False Lashes #34’s.

Lips
MAC Lip Pencil in Stone
Benefit Lipstick in Jing-a-ling

What do you think? I loved doing this look on Faye, she has beautiful smooth skin to work with and lovely big eyelids for shadow, not like my hooded eyes! I think for the next look we're going to be brave and have a play with colour, I'm thinking purples and maybe some dramatic eye liner.

Til next time sweets
